My Switch will not show on the TV — is the console broken?

Often it is the dock or its HDMI-driver chip, not the console. TV output runs from the console through the dock, so a Switch that plays perfectly in handheld mode but gives a black screen docked has usually lost the dock or the USB-C port — we test the console, the dock, and the cable and repair only the part that failed.

My Switch Lite has stick drift — is it the same fix as a regular Switch?
